First Day of Fall and the First Autumn Walk

A glorious day for a stroll around  the lake at Innisfree Garden.

An inviting pathway
A glimpse of the lake
Seats with a view and long shadows
Magnificent fungus
New planking over the always wet area. They could have done with duckboards like this at Ypres a hundred years ago,
Great camouflage
Big Sky
Fungus
Green and Red
Reflection
Stone Bench
A Place to Rest

  • And soon to close for the winter, I guess, as it always seems to do rather prematurely? I love seeing Innisfree in the seasons you can capture there.

    • Unfortunately, yes. Although we do get most of October and that, of course, is glorious. I do wonder what it looks like after a snowfall. But the paths would be deadly in the ice.
